Summer Time

Summer started early this year and it was kicked off with a great Mexican Party at Monique's house on a very hot and sunny Saturday afternoon.

We continued the theme for the rest of the weekend in our back garden. This pic was taken in our over grown jungle.

Aspen USA

I had such an amazing time in Aspen, Denver Colorado, USA, in March.
I am now officially an Extreem Skier!!

This is a picture of my new skiis, K2 Nancy's.
They are twin tiped, big, fat, pink and bad.
They go anywhere there is snow.

Hicking up to the Aspen Highland Bowl, 13,000 feet very hard word, but so worth it.

Circus School

On Sunday I went to circus school at Circus Space and it was totally amazing. I did the one day course, Introduction to circus skills. I thought I was fit and co-ordintaed but these circus skills are in another league.

It was an action-packed whole-day course where you experience flying trapeze, juggling, acrobatic balancing, static trapeze, acrobatic tumbling, stilt-walking, diabolo and tight-wire walking.

This photo is of me getting ready to do the flying trapeze, I have to say I was terrified and I'm petrified of heights.

I totally loved every part of it and I can actually attempt to juggle now too. My favourite has to be the static trapeze and acrobatic tumbling as it took me back to my gymnastic days.

If you have ever wanted to do any of these or run away and join the circus I would go for it!

Let it Snow

The other morning when we woke up we found a wonderful suprise... It had snowed in our back yard!
The funny thing is that we just came back from a ski weekend in Austria where there wasn't very much snow at all!

Once upon a time in the BBC

Once upon a time there was a young girl from Australia called Prue. She was fresh and green, straight off the boat to what she thought was the Mother Land. Little did she know she had actually landed in the special magical world of the BBC…

"Where am I"? She asked a local in Shepherds Bush Green "You are at the BBC" he spluttered "What is that?" she asked, but he shook his head and stumbled away So she decided to use one of her 3 life lines and phone a friend. "Are you going to be on TV"? her friend asked. It appeared that now she had a clue and decided to go in through the gates.
"Welcome to the BBC, would you like to come with us on an Apollo journey to the land of SAP"? asked a big voice. Now to young Prue this sounded very exciting, she was still no clearer as to what the BBC was but it sure was a big place and very friendly.

During her time in the land of SAP in the magical world of the BBC she met all sorts of interesting & colourful creatures. There was blue planets, flying cbeebies, drama queens, rock festivals, radio stars and an introduction to the very serious sport of football. Here young Prue decided to use another life line and ask the audience the off side rule.

After running a marathon with the help of the BBC Running Club around Broadcasting House young Prue decided to get on her BBC Riding Club horse and gallop off to the Future Finance office in Cardiff as they were in need of some help.
She enjoyed teaching lots of new people about the magical world of the BBC and the land of SAP but her time in this lovely place was soon to be over.

"Should I stay or should I go now"? Young Prue only had one life line left, the 50/50…
All good things must come to an end and she has decided to go off in search of a new magical world.

The End!

To find out more about Young Prue's Adventures come to the Defector's Weld on Wednesday 7th February Shepherds Bush, London, W12 8AA

Happy New Year

Well as you can see I have decided to start the new year off as a raunchy red head!

William & I went to the Lady Luck Club New Years Eve Ball and it was fantatsic. There was a live Burlesque show and lots of Champange darling! http://www.ladyluckclub.co.uk/

Also this year I have been doing a Burlesque dance course which I just love and I am starting to put an act together. Burlesque is just so me, I love dressing up and pretending that I can sing, dance and act. But really I am just brilliant at wiggeling my hips.

AntiSanta

Happy xmas to you. We’ve had an exciting xmas with an antisanta visiting both Skelwith road and Rosedew road

We had a lovely Christmas, I cooked the turkey this year with all the trimmings. We have the 6 of us: Rosie, Anastasia, Uncle Henry & Anna with William & I.

Although it didn't start well as we at Skelwith Rd were burgled in the wee hours of Christmas morning, they took our wallets, phones, handbags and some taking presents away and leaving them in the gardens all down the streets.

We discovered it when Rosie came over from her mum's ringing the door bell at 7 am asking us why we weren't answering our phones for the last hour and we had to come down now to open presents! That is when we found my hand bag missing and our back door open with things scattered in our back garden.

Then we discovered that Rosedew Rd (one street away) were the girls live with their mum had also been burgled. Same thing small minor items. All the streets join up with back yards and the police think it was the same people going through the area.

So whilst entertaining the forensic team in both houses I also managed to cook a huge turkey and keep with Christmas spirit alive.

Also Rosie broke her arm snowboarding and W and I have been struck down with two days of violent food poisoning post Christmas.

Here's to a Happy New Year!

Now that's Entertainment

Its that time of year when I get a big surge to go and see shows, theatre, ballets & this year lots of Burlesque.
Last week we saw Momix This amazing ballet at the Peacock Theatre was outstanding. The production we was called Lunar Sea, they use illusion and light which is hypnotizing. Kat you would have been spun out watching this, I was.

Last night we went to The Immodest Tease Show at the Bloomsbury Ballroom. They had Burlesque acts from America, like Dirty Martini which turned out to be a bloke! I was all dolled up in my corset with fantastic cleavage desperate to be on stage, but alas I had to be content with a glass of champange and watching.

Off to The Royal Ballet next week...

Operation Big Boob

Yes I have finally done what I have always wanted and gone & got myself a nice set of breasts.

I have a breast enhancement nearly two weeks ago and all has gone well, considering.
I saw the lovely gorgeous Italian Dr on Thursday for my post op check up and he is please with the results.

I rushed off to Selfridges to have a bra fitting as I was dying to know what size I was, I had asked for a full C. So the lovely lady measured me up and seemed to know more about breast enhancements than me. She was fantatsic at advising what sort of bra I would need to be in once I was out of my contracption in 4 weeks. She said you will go into a sports bra, then a bra without underwire. Ok not the most flattering I know as I was looking at sexy lacey things in the Agent Provocateur section but all that to come.
She came back with acouple of bras for me to try on, they looked enormous, I had never seen bras that size let alone worn one. "What size is this?" I asked. She replied "Its a 34 DD" holy fuck I was beaming, she said I will probably end up being a 34D when they settle a bit and the swelling goes.

I think they should have a Coming Out Party!!

Lots of sexy photos to come ... xx

Fake Christmas

Yesterday is was Christmas in our house, well fake Christmas. It seems we have started a tradition of this event when the in laws are in town and taking a break from sailing the 7 seas. The Grand daughters love it, they cash in big time and get spoilt rotten by the Grands, Capt'n Dicko and Grandita, plus their uncles.

So the Christmas tree gets pulled down from the loft and the lights are all set up plus the tinsel is spread around and the mince pies are in the oven. All this happens on Fake Christmas eve over a few festive drinks of course into the wee hours. The only difference is you can't get the kids to bed as they know Santa isn't coming on Fake Christmas!

Just like on Christmas morning the kids are up at the crack of dawn waking the house and ripping open the paper in a flurry of mania under the Christmas tree. The adults are all bleary eyed and slightly hung over and wincing as the noise level rises very high with squeals and horns blowing. Who ever thought that buying horns was a great idea is now seriously rethinking that move! (It wasn't me)

So onto the amazing lunch complete with decorated table and crackers to pull with all the bad jokes, over indulgence of food and wine and paper hats that never fit anyones head (there is a reason why Christmas is only once a year).

In the afternoon friends pop over and James Bond movies are played with people dozing in the corner only to wake feeling revived and ready to carry on again.

Today is fake Boxing Day, more turkey and food but definatley a more sombre mood in the house, I know I hoping for an afternoon snooze...

Merry Christmas!

Wolf Creek

The scarriest movie I have ever watched. I was on my sofa in my house in London when I watched it on DVD with my big strong bf and I am still scarred about some phyco in out back OZ coming to get me like the boogie man.

Call me a wimp but have you seen it?

I have never had my heart race so fast and I thought I was going to be physically ill, it is the scariest movie I have ever seen and will be watching Rom Coms for a while to come!

PS: Speaking of mad nutter Aussies, poor old Steve Irwin "The Crocodile Hunter" has died. He was stabbed by a sting ray on the Great Barrier Reef, what are the chances of that?

Half Prue Half Pizza

Whilst eating pizza and drinking wine at my bf's cousin's (who were putting us up for the night on route to our holiday in the Lakes) we got talking about Blogs, seems a lot of people have them but not many either a) keep them up to date or b) think they are very interesting and that no one will read it.

I think you have to be clear when you start out if either you are going to be a) yourself in this blog and therefore you don't want to write anything controversial / risk instults or shocking friends or family or b) be anomoyous.
Mine is clearly of the first category and therefore I am also at risk of having a boring blog that no one reads. However I am resolved in that as my purpose is really a bit like a log of evens that happen, it is also as I happen to have a lot of friends and family in Australia and there never is enough time to write / call / email / visit, this blog is to help bridge the gap in this modern world. I do love the modern world we live in.

So speaking about events and whilst eating pizza and drinking too much red wine, well it would be rude not to, Anastasia drew a picture. "What's that a picture of?" I ask, to which A replies is "Its a half Prue half pizza!" It was infact a picture of a pizza with the pepperoni arranged to make eyes, nose & mouth with blonde curly hair all around it. "Now there's a name for a Blog" cried the crowd!

And so I have changed the name of my blog to something more interesting!

William & I are planning to get Married!

William & I are planning to get married!
We talked about it last Tue and I was then kinda hoping we could get married while both our parents are in the country with a little civil ceremony, but alas the home office are not of the romantic mind and there are forms!! (Plus that would no doubt be a world record)

Anyway William bought the ring on Thursday and gave it to me. I love it!!
It is an antique, Victorian 1880's ring in Old gold and and old cut 1K diamond.

A Betrothal is a promise to marry and living together as married and both parents agreeing the marriage and then getting the paperwork sorted out at some point. So not a down on one knee asking for my hand engagement style, but as soon as dad arrived from Australia on Sat night William took him to the pub for his first pint and to do the traditional thing and ask permission.

We had told Rosie & Anastasia on Sat morning so that they would know before everyone started congratulating and carrying on, but as predicted the news didn't go down very well with poor Rosie. She is a deep thinker and will take time, but she just doesn't want her daddy to marry anyone. She did then ask to be my flower girl which is nice. Anastasia on the other hand is very excited and wants me in a big puffy dress with a pumpkin carriage and horses! (Oh to be 6)
We were having a BBQ on Sunday anyway so our parents could meet & we told everyone else then, or rather Anastasia did! I have been so busy with Mum & Dad over visiting so I am now in a bit of shock from it all and hoping to calm down a bit.

We haven't set a date, I am keen for something small and soon and William big and next year...

I fell off my horse

Last night I did my first Show Jumping comp. It was just our BBC Riding Club and very informal comp at Trent Park. I was really excited esp after last Sunday's X Country efforts and I was also jumping at intermediate level, 2' 3". I had never jumped a show jumping course before & I was worried about remembering which order to jump them in.

I went around the fisrt time ok, but there were a few scarry moments. You have just enough time to catch your breath (I forget to breath the whole way round) and the bell goes for you to start again.
On the second round I felt much more confident and stable plus was more familiar with the course. As I approach jump 6 I thought she was going to jump, but she put an extra short step in so I went over and fell off. I was fine just my ego was bruised and I was a little shacky. But I got back on and finished jumps 7 & 8 to come 2nd and win a rosette!

Trent Park where I ride every Thursday evening...
